Sandimmune is a brand-name prescription drug that suppresses the immune system to prevent the rejection of a transplanted heart, kidney, or liver. The active ingredient in Sandimmune, cyclosporine, “slows down” the immune system by interfering with a particular chemical in the body that causes white blood cells to attack the transplanted tissue as if it were an infection. Sandimmune costs $919.42 at full price. A SingleCare Sandimmune coupon reduces that price to $21.03.
Our price history metrics are calculated from aggregate prescription data that we receive from all participating pharmacies. This chart updates daily to show new price fluctuations. If a data point is missing from the chart, it is because we do not have enough data to produce a reliable figure.

At most pharmacies, the full cost of Sandimmune will be $919.42. That same prescription will cost $21.03 per 30, 25mg Capsule using a SingleCare savings card, which you can use at major pharmacies throughout the country.
The copay cost of Sandimmune varies greatly depending on your insurance plan and the dose prescribed. With SingleCare, Sandimmune costs as little as $21.03 for 30, 25mg Capsule. Ask your pharmacist to compare that SingleCare cost to your copay so that you get the best deal on your prescription.
Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D prescription drug insurance plans usually do not provide coverage for Sandimmune. However, Sandimmune is considered a necessary part of transplant surgery and so is covered by Medicare Part B as a medical benefit. If you don't have Medicare coverage, consider using a SingleCare Sandimmune coupon for your prescription. With SingleCare, the price of Sandimmune is $21.03 for 30, 25mg Capsule.
Sandimmune is a brand-name prescription drug with the active ingredient cyclosporine. Generic cyclosporine is available from manufacturers such as Perrigo, Apotex, and Teva, among many others.
Sandimmune is a brand-name prescription drug that suppresses the immune system to prevent organ rejection after a heart, kidney, or liver transplant. When tissue from one person is transplanted into another person, the body recognizes it as a foreign object. The immune system mounts a response against this foreign object to kill it. The active ingredient in Sandimmune, cyclosporine, however, “slows down” the immune system by interfering with one particular chemical in the body that activates white blood cells to attack the transplanted tissue.
Sandimmune is administered as a gelcap, oral solution, or injection. Sandimmune is first administered four to twelve hours before the transplant surgery. Sandimmune is tapered off following surgery, but a maintenance dose is administered for a few months.
Sandimmune suppresses the immune system, the first line of defense against infections. So Sandimmune lowers the body's ability to prevent or fight infections, putting patients at a higher risk of infections, including severe and life-threatening infections. Immune suppression also increases the risk of certain types of cancer, such as skin cancer or lymphoma.
Other side effects include high blood pressure, tremor, headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, cramps, pimples, increased hair growth, dizziness, flushing, weight loss, mouth sores, problems speaking or walking, high potassium, kidney problems, and liver problems. Mental and mood changes include problems thinking. Allergic reactions are rare but can be severe and include lupus type syndromes.
This is not a complete list of possible side effects. Consult with your prescribing physician and pharmacist about possible side effects before starting on Sandimmune.
