Gengraf is an FDA-approved branded generic prescription drug. A branded generic medication is a generic drug with a “name,” rather than being named its chemical ingredient. Gengraf is used to suppress the immune system to prevent organ rejection after a heart, kidney, or liver transplant. Organ rejection is caused when the immune system attacks the transplanted organ. Gengraf is also prescribed to relieve symptoms of active severe rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis, conditions similarly caused when the immune system attacks healthy tissue in the body. The active ingredient in Gengraf, cyclosporine (modified), suppresses the immune system by blocking a particular chemical that activates white blood cells. Gengraf costs $245.02 at full price. A SingleCare Gengraf coupon reduces that price to $42.00.
Our price history metrics are calculated from aggregate prescription data that we receive from all participating pharmacies. This chart updates daily to show new price fluctuations. If a data point is missing from the chart, it is because we do not have enough data to produce a reliable figure.

A SingleCare Gengraf coupon reduces that price to $42.00.
At most pharmacies, the full cost of Gengraf will be $245.02. That same prescription will cost $42.00 per 30, 100mg Capsule using a SingleCare savings card, which you can use at participating pharmacies.
Depending on your insurance plan, the copay cost of Gengraf will vary. With a SingleCare Gengraf coupon, though, Gengraf costs $42.00, which may be lower than your copay. To get the best price on Gengraf, compare your insurance copay to SingleCare’s discount.
Medicare prescription drug insurance plans usually provide coverage for Gengraf. In some cases, Gengraf may be covered by Medicare Part B as a medical benefit. If Medicare Part B does not cover Gengraf, it should be covered by Medicare Part D. If you don't have Medicare coverage, consider using a SingleCare Gengraf coupon for your prescription. With SingleCare, the price of Gengraf is $42.00 for 30, 100mg Capsule.
Gengraf is a branded generic prescription drug with the active ingredient cyclosporine (modified). Generic cyclosporine (modified) is also available from manufacturers such as Apotex and Teva, among others.
Gengraf is a prescription drug taken as an oral gelcap or solution that suppresses the immune system to prevent organ rejection after a heart, kidney, or liver transplant. When an organ is transplanted into a person, the body's immune system recognizes it as foreign. Organ rejection is what happens when the immune system damages the transplanted organ enough to compromise its function.
Gengraf is also prescribed to treat active rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis. Psoriasis is a condition in which skin cells build up to form hard, itchy patches. These are both conditions in which the body's immune system mistakes healthy tissue as foreign and tries to eliminate it from the body, causing swelling, stiffness, pain, or discomfort.
The active ingredient in Gengraf, cyclosporine (modified), stops the immune system by blocking one particular chemical in the body that “turns on” white blood cells, the cells that attack transplanted tissue, the joints, or the skin. The term “modified” means that the drug has been chaged so it can be better absorbed by the body. Regular cyclosporine and modified cyclosporine cannot be subsitituted for each other because they are absorbed differently.
Gengraf is taken as a capsule or oral solution. Patients should avoid alcohol while taking Gengraf. Patients should also avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juices while taking Gengraf, as these citrus fruits can affect how Gengraf is absorbed and cause serious side effects.
Before taking Gengraf, tell your doctor about all of the medications you take, including prescription and OTC drugs, as well as vitamins or supplements. Tell your doctor about all of the medical conditions you have. Make sure that all of your healthcare providers know you are taking cyclosporine.
While taking Gengraf, you should not get a live vaccine (such as MMR, rotavirus, typhoid, yellow fever, or chickenpox). Before getting a vaccine, tell your healthcare provider that you take cyclosporine.
Avoid being around people who are sick or have infections. Tell your doctor right away if you have signs of an infection, such as fever, sore throat, cough, or trouble breathing.
Gengraf suppresses the immune system, the first line of defense against infections. So Gengraf lowers the body's ability to prevent or fight infections, putting patients at a higher risk of infections, including severe and life-threatening infections. Immune suppression also increases the risk of certain types of cancer, such as skin cancer or lymphoma.
Other side effects include high blood pressure, tremor, shaking, pimples, unwanted hair growth, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, swollen gums, headache, dizziness, leg cramps, numbness and tingling, and swelling of the extremities. Allergic reactions are rare, but get emergency medical attention if you have hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat.
This is not a complete list of side effects. Consult your doctor or healthcare professional for additional information and medical advice regarding other possible side effects or drug interactions. You can report negative side effects to the FDA.
