What is Topiramate Er?

Topiramate Er is a generic prescription drug that belongs to the carbonic anhydrase inhibitor anticonvulsants. It is used to treat migraine headaches and different types of seizures including tonic-clonic seizures and partial-onset seizures. Topiramate Er can also treat epilepsy, Lennox Gastaut syndrome, bulimia, and alcoholism. Topiramate Er is available as extended-release capsules. Children as young as two years old may use Topiramate Er depending on the condition it is being used to treat.

Do not use Topiramate Er if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Do not use any alcohol within six hours of taking Topiramate Er.
