It also helps to maintain strong bones and reduces the risk of broken bones or fractures. Binosto belongs to a class of drugs called bisphosphonates but it is not safe for use by children.
Do not use Binosto if you are allergic to alendronate. If you have problems with your esophagus or low levels of calcium in your blood, do not take this medication. If you cannot sit upright or stand for at least 30 minutes after taking Binosto do not use it.
Before taking Binosto tell your doctor about any other medical conditions you may have, including if you have trouble swallowing, kidney problems, or any condition that makes it hard for you to absorb nutrients from food.
