What is Azelex?

Azelex is an FDA-approved prescription medication used to treat and reduce blackhead and pimple formation. It does this by helping the skin renew itself, and it may help fight bacteria that causes rosacea and acne.

This medication comes in the form of a topical cream that is usually applied to the affected area twice daily or as directed by your doctor. The affected area should be cleaned with mild soap and dried with a towel before this medication is applied. Avoid covering the affected area after you have applied Azelex.
