What is Inbrija?

Inbrija is an FDA-approved prescription medication used to treat the return of Parkinson's symptoms in patients who were previously treated with carbidopa/levodopa medicine. Parkinson's disease usually worsens over time and you may occasionally need extra levodopa to keep symptoms from returning. This medication is meant to be used in addition to your regular carbidopa/levodopa medicine. Parkinson's disease is believed to be caused by a shortage of naturally occurring dopamine in the brain. The active ingredient in this medication is levodopa which changes into dopamine in the brain, helping to control movement.
