What is Trintellix?

Trintellix is an antidepressant approved to treat major depressive disorder (MDD). Vortioxetine is the active ingredient in Trintellix. Because it works differently from other antidepressants, vortioxetine is considered a miscellaneous or atypical antidepressant. Trintellix is usually reserved to treat depression that isn’t improved with other antidepressants.

What strengths of Trintellix are available?

Trintellix is available as an oral tablet in strengths of 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg. Trintellix is taken by mouth, usually once daily with or without food.
