What is Se-Tan Plus?

Se-Tan Plus is a brand-name prescription B-vitamin, iron, and mineral supplement and iron supplement with vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 B6, B9, and B12. Se-Tan Plus is prescribed to either prevent or treat folate deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia due to blood loss, menstruation, puberty, convalescence, or age. Se-Tan Plus is also prescribed to treat iron and vitamin C deficiency, as well as meet the increased need for B vitamins due to stress or illness.

In addition to B-complex vitamins, Se-Tan Plus includes vitamin C, iron (ferrous fumarate), and minerals (zinc, copper, and manganese).

All the B vitamins (called B-complex vitamins) are needed by the body to convert proteins, fats, and carbohydrates into energy. Iron is a critical component in red blood cells and is responsible for carrying oxygen to all the cells and tissues in the body.
