What is Hemax?
Hemax is a multivitamin and mineral supplement that is used to treat or prevent iron deficiency, to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women, and to supply the body with folic acid. Hemax may also be used to prevent constipation.
Hemax provides 100% of the quatrefolic which is an active form of folate. Quatrefolic is a substance that is naturally present in your body. Most products like Hemax only contain 60% quatrefolic. Hemax is not meant to be used by children who are under 12 years old.
Before you use Hemax tell your doctor about other medical conditions you may have and about the treatments you are using including prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and other supplements. This will reduce the likelihood of drug interactions and adverse effects. You should avoid using laxatives or stool softeners while using Hemax unless you are told to do so by your doctor.
