What is Daypro?
Daypro is a generic prescription drug for relieving the symptoms of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The active ingredient in Daypro, oxaprozin, belongs to a class of medications called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that work by blocking substances in the body that cause inflammation (swelling), pain, and stiffness in the joints.
Daypro is administered as a tablet and given once per day.
What are the side effects of Daypro?
Common side effects of Daypro include upset stomach, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, gas, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, blurred vision, fatigue, dry mouth, and ringing in the ears. Serious side effects include high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, stomach bleeding, liver problems, kidney problems, anemia, and heart attack.
