What is Oscimin?
Oscimin is a generic prescription drug used to treat the symptoms of stomach ulcers, dysentery, diverticulitis, diarrhea, intestinal spasms, kidney stone pain (renal colic), gallstone pain (biliary colic), and irritable bowel syndrome. Oscimin is also prescribed as a drying agent to relieve nasal irritation.
The active ingredient in Oscimin, hyoscyamine, is a smooth muscle relaxant. Smooth muscles are found in the stomach, intestines, bladder, nasal glands, blood vessels, gall bladder, kidneys, and other areas in the body.
