Norvasc is an FDA-approved prescription medication used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain (angina). Norvasc is classified as a calcium channel blocker. This medication is meant for use in adults and children who are at least six years old.

This medication comes in the form of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg oral tablets which can be taken with or without food. In children, doses above 5 mg daily have not been studied.
