Leukeran is an FDA-approved, brand-name prescription drug used to partially treat chronic lymphocytic leukemia and other malignant lymphomas, such as lymphosarcoma, giant follicular lymphoma, and Hodgkin's disease, all cancers of lymphocytes, and white blood cells that play a critical role in the body's ability to fight infections. The active ingredient in Leukeran, chlorambucil, slows the growth of cancerous lymphocytes by corrupting their genetic material. The cells lose their ability to function or to produce new cancer cells. Leukeran cost is normally $451.34 at full price. A SingleCare Leukeran coupon reduces that price to $559.84.
Our price history metrics are calculated from aggregate prescription data that we receive from all participating pharmacies. This chart updates daily to show new price fluctuations. If a data point is missing from the chart, it is because we do not have enough data to produce a reliable figure.
Pharmacy | Leukeran Retail Price | Leukeran SingleCare Price |
---|---|---|
CVS Pharmacy | $464.56 | $397.92 |
Walgreens | $402.74 | $355.32 |

At most pharmacies, the full cost of Leukeran will be $451.34. That same prescription will cost $559.84 per 1, 2mg Tablet using a SingleCare savings card, which you can use at participating pharmacies.
The copay cost of Leukeran will depend on your insurance plan. With SingleCare, Leukeran costs as little as $559.84 for 1, 2mg Tablet. Ask your pharmacist to compare your Leukeran insurance copay to your price using a SingleCare Leukeran coupon. The SingleCare price could be lower.
Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D prescription drug insurance plans usually provide coverage for Leukeran. For non-Medicare patients who don't have coverage for Leukeran, consider using a SingleCare Leukeran coupon for your prescription. With SingleCare, the price of Leukeran is $559.84 for 1, 2mg Tablet.
Leukeran is a brand-name prescription drug that treats various types of lymphoma. Generic Leukeran is not available at this time.
Leukeran is a brand-name prescription drug that partially treats chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and other lymphomas, including giant follicular lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and lymphosarcoma. These are cancers of the lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that fights infections and other “foreign” material in the body.
Lymphomas involve lymphocytes that divide uncontrollably and produce lymphocytes that are immature and defective. They crowd out healthy lymphocytes and the body slowly loses its ability to fight infections or cancers. People with untreated lymphomas usually die of some infection.
Leukeran prevents cancerous lymphocytes from dividing into new cancerous lymphocytes. It does this by corrupting the genetic material in the cancer cells, which prevents the cells from using that genetic material either for important cellular functions or to produce new cancer cells.
Leukeran is taken as a tablet once daily for three to six weeks. The dose will vary depending on the response of the cancer and the patient's tolerance for Leukeran.
Common side effects of Leukeran include, but are not limited to, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tremors, tingling, numbness, and pain. Mental and mood changes are very rare and include confusion, agitation, and hallucinations.
Severe side effects include liver problems, seizures, and low white blood cell counts, which can put the patient at risk for infection. Leukeran is classified as a carcinogen—a cancer-causing substance—so new cancers are a risk.
Allergic reactions are rare, but they are potentially severe. These include Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis, serious and potentially fatal skin reactions to Leukeran. Watch for any signs of an allergic reaction—fever, sore throat, flu symptoms, rash, or blisters—and immediately talk to a doctor if you suspect you're having an allergic reaction.
This is not a complete list of side effects. Consult your doctor or healthcare professional for additional information and medical advice regarding other possible side effects or drug interactions. You can report negative side effects to the FDA.
