What is Enskyce?
Enskyce is a hormone medication that is used to prevent pregnancy by preventing ovulation. Enskyce combines two hormones, progestin, and estrogen. This prescription drug works by keeping the egg from being released during the menstrual cycle. Vaginal fluid is also made thicker which prevents sperm from reaching an egg and changes the lining of the (womb) to prevent the attachment of a fertilized egg. A fertilized egg passes out of the body if it is not attached to the uterus.Enskyce is an oral medication that is available in the form of a tablet. Enskyce is taken daily for the 21 days of the menstrual cycle, counting from the first day of menstrual flow. A new course is started after 28 tablets have been taken. Enskyce should be used only as directed by a healthcare professional or your doctor. Enskyce is taken once a day, with or without food at the same time every day. If Enskyce causes an upset stomach, take it with food. Contact your doctor for more medical advice.Inform your doctor if you are allergic to ethinyl estradiol, desogestrel, or any other part of Enskyce, other drugs such as ombitasvir, paritaprevir, and ritonavir with or without dasabuvir, foods, or other substances.
