Betamethasone Dipropionate is thought to work by preventing cells from producing inflammation-causing chemicals that are released in response to a variety of different triggers. Betamethasone Dipropionate is available in 0.05% strength in the form of a cream, gel, lotion, suspension, and ointment.

Before using Betamethasone Dipropionate, tell your doctor if you have a history of skin irritation after using steroid medicine, thinning of the skin due to a medical condition, cataracts or glaucoma, diabetes, liver disease, adrenal gland problems, or any type of skin infection. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, then tell your doctor as it is not known if Betamethasone Dipropionate can affect your unborn baby.
