What is Vytone?
Vytone is a combination medication that is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as eczema, skin infections like ringworm, athlete's foot, ock itch, etc.
This drug belongs to the topical steroids with anti-infectives drug class and contains two active ingredients; iodoquinol and hydrocortisone. Iodoquinol is an antibiotic that works by preventing the growth of fungus/bacteria. Hydrocortisone is a mild corticosteroid that works by reducing swelling, redness, and itching that occurs in the affected skin area
Vytone should not be given to children under 12 years old or persons who are allergic to the primary, active ingredients in this drug.
Vytone comes in the form of a topical cream. One box of Vytone contains 30 sachets to be used as prescribed by your doctor.
What are the side effects of Vytone?
Common side effects of Vytone include blistering, burning, crusting, dryness, flaking, scaling, severe redness, soreness, or swelling of the skin, inflammation of the hair follicles, excessive hair growth, acne-like pimples, discoloration of the skin, maceration (pruning) of the skin, secondary infections, striae (stretch marks), and heat rashes.
