The average price for Plan B One-Step–a single dose–is $48.77 for 1, 1.5MG Tablet for uninsured customers, but this will vary depending on where you buy it. A SingleCare Plan B One-Step coupon lowers the cost to $12.69 for 1, 1 tablets Box of generic Plan B One-Step. In fact, you can save up to 80% the retail price on all your prescription drug needs with your SingleCare discount card.
As an over-the-counter oral contraceptive, Plan B One-Step is rarely covered by prescription drug insurance plans. If you have a prescription, bring your SingleCare Plan B One-Step coupon instead. However, if your insurance does cover Plan B One-Step or other emergency contraceptives, consider asking your pharmacist to compare your insurance copay with your savings using a SingleCare discount card, which may take as much as 80% off the retail price.
As an over-the-counter, single-use drug, Plan B One-Step is usually not covered for Medicare-eligible patients. However, you will always save money with a SingleCare savings card, accepted at many pharmacies located near you.
Plan B One-Step (levonorgestrel) is a brand name oral contraceptive manufactured by Foundation Consumer Healthcare. Generic levonorgestrel is also available from other manufacturers under brand names such as My Choice, My Way, Next Choice One Dose, Take Action, and others. A generic version of Plan B One-Step is available at a lower price under the name, “levonorgestrel.” Search our website or app for Plan B One-Step or any of these other brands to find free coupons for levonorgestrel one-dose emergency contraception.
Plan B One-Step is a non-prescription emergency contraception pill for women who have had unprotected sex or who have used contraceptives that have failed during sex. Although Plan B One-Step is sold without a prescription for patients 18 and older, many states require a prescription for patients 17 or under.
Plan B One-Step's active ingredient, levonorgestrel, prevents ovulation and changes the lining of the uterus to prevent the attachment of a fertilized egg and impede the movement of sperm.
Plan B One-Step is taken as a single dose within 72 hours of unprotected sex. Plan B One-Step does not prevent pregnancy if the fertilized egg has already attached to the uterus before Plan B One-Step has been taken. Its effectiveness as a contraceptive, then, declines quickly after the first 24 hours following unprotected sex.
Common side effects of Plan B One-Step include but are not limited to menstrual changes and cramping, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, fatigue, and dizziness. Allergic reactions are rare but include rash, itching, and trouble breathing. Mood changes are common when taking levonorgestrel, but Plan B One-Step is intended to be taken as a single dose, so mood changes are rare.
Plan B One-Step should not be used as a regular birth control pill. It does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (stds). Consult your doctor or healthcare professional for additional information and medical advice.
