Pentacel is a brand-name vaccine that provides active immunity from diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and polio (DTaP polio) bacterial infections. The immunizing ingredients in Pentacel are diphtheria and tetanus toxoids (toxins that are no longer toxic), cellular parts of the pertussis bacteria, and attenuated (weakened) live polio bacteria. These toxoids, cellular material, and weakened bacteria cells do not cause an infection. They do, however, stimulate the production of antibodies against the bacteria. Pentacel is an injection that is taken under the supervision of a healthcare professional. On average, the retail price of Pentacel is $145.82. Ask the pharmacy, clinic, or hospital where you receive Pentacel injections if they will accept a SingleCare Pentacel coupon; you could pay only $132.13.

Pentacel costs around $145.82 for uninsured customers, but prices may vary. A SingleCare savings card means you will pay only $132.13 for the same prescription of Pentacel if the clinic or hospital where you receive Pentacel injections will accept SingleCare.
Your copay for Pentacel with insurance will vary depending on your plan. However, Pentacel will sometimes be covered by your health insurance as a medical benefit rather than a prescription drug benefit. Ask the clinic or hospital where you receive Pentacel injections if they will accept a SingleCare Pentacel coupon; you could pay only $132.13 if they do.
Pentacel is usually covered under Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage prescription drug plans, but could also be covered under Medicare Part B as a medical benefit. If you're not covered, ask the clinic or hospital where you receive Pentacel injections if they will accept a SingleCare Pentacel coupon; you could pay only $132.13.
Pentacel is a brand-name DtaP polio (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and polio) vaccine. Other brand-name DtaP polio vaccines include Kinrix and Quadracel. However, clinics and hospitals choose the brand of DtaP polio vaccine and purchase that brand from specialty pharmacies. Search for these DtaP polio vaccine brands on the SingleCare website or app for more information and savings coupons.
Pentacel is a brand-name vaccine that provides active immunity from diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and polio (DTaP polio) bacterial infections.
The immunizing ingredients in Pentacel are diphtheria and tetanus toxoids (toxins that are no longer toxic), acellular pertussis (“aP,” or the dead contents of pertussis bacteria cells), and attenuated (weakened) live polio bacteria. These toxoids, cellular material, and weakened bacteria cells do not cause an infection. They do, however, stimulate the production of antibodies against the bacteria. The antibodies created provide a years-long line of defense against future infections.
Pentacel is injected as four doses at 2, 4, 6, and 15-18 months of age.
Although not a complete list, common side effects of Pentacel include, but are not limited to, fever, chills, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and body aches. Site reactions to the injection are common and include redness, pain, swelling, and a hard lump at the needle site. Injection site reactions will go away after one or two days. Allergic reactions are very rare and include rash, itching, and swelling at the injection site.
