Leukine should not be used within 24 hours before receiving chemotherapy or radiation or within 24 hours after chemotherapy. Do not use Leukine if you are allergic to sargramostim, filgrastim, or yeast. Leukine may contain an ingredient that causes serious side effects or death in very young or low birthweight babies. Before taking Leukine, tell your doctor about any medical conditions you have as well as your medical history and other medications you take.
