Fibricor is prescribed, along with changes in diet and exercise, to patients with high triglycerides (fats) or high cholesterol. The active ingredient in Fibricor, fenofibric acid, reduces triglycerides in the bloodstream and, as a result, also lowers the liver's production of cholesterol. The cost of Fibricor is $1,177.99, but a SingleCare Fibricor coupon lowers that price to $151.19 for 15, 35mg Tablet. SingleCare is accepted at participating pharmacies nationwide, including CVS, Longs, Drugs, Walgreens, and others.

Fibricor is a generic prescription drug with the active ingredient, fenofibric acid. The brand-name alternative to Fibricor is Triglide, but the active ingredient is also widely available under the generic name, fenofibric acid.
Fibricor is a prescription generic drug prescribed to patients who have either high triglycerides (fats) or high triglycerides and high cholesterol in their bloodstream.
The active ingredient in Fibricor, fenofibric acid reduces the liver's production of triglycerides, and, as a result, the liver's production of “bad” cholesterol {LDL}. High triglyceride levels carry a high risk of pancreatitis, a painful inflammation of the pancreas that could seriously threaten health.
Fibricor is also commonly used to reduce LDL cholesterol for patients with high cholesterol. Cholesterol is used by the body to transport triglycerides, so when triglycerides go down, the liver slows down the production of cholesterol.
Fibricor is intended only as a secondary therapy that accompanies dietary changes reducing fat intake. Fibricor is taken as a tablet once per day with or without meals. The dose may vary.
Common side effects of Fibricor include but are not limited to abdominal pain, upset stomach, diarrhea, back pain, joint pain, headache, nausea, and cold symptoms. In some cases, Fibricor may also cause changes in liver function. Mood changes are rare. Allergic reactions are uncommon but include rashes, hives, or difficulty breathing. As with any drug, discontinue use of Fibricor and get emergency medical care if you suspect you are having an allergic reaction to Fibricor.
