Evista is used as part of a complete program of treatment that should also include diet changes, exercise, bone mineral density testing, and calcium and vitamin D supplements. This medication belongs to selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) and should not be used by women who have not gone through menopause.
Do not use Evista if you are allergic to it. If you have a history of blood clots, or if you are pregnant do not use Evista.
Before taking Evista tell your doctor if you are being treated for any other medical conditions.
