Timoptic Ocudose is a beta-blocker that is used to treat high intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma. Timoptic Ocudose may also be used by patients who are sensitive to the preservative in this ophthalmic solution, benzalkonium chloride, or when the use of a preservative-free topical medication is advisable. This medication is not approved for use by patients who are younger than two years old.
Do not use Timoptic Ocudose asthma, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or a serious heart condition.
Before taking Timoptic Ocudose tell your doctor if you have or are being treated for any other health conditions including diabetes, thyroid disorder, narrow-angle glaucoma, breathing problems, blood circulation problems, a stroke, or blood clot. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you need to tell your doctor. Timoptic Ocudose can pass into your breast milk and may harm your baby. You should not breastfeed while using Timoptic Ocudose.
