What is Rayos?

Rayos is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and it also suppresses your body's immune system. Rayos is used to treat a number of medical conditions including certain allergic, dermatologic, gastrointestinal, hematologic, ophthalmologic, nervous system, renal, respiratory, rheumatologic, specific infectious diseases or conditions. It can also be used after organ transplantation, as well as for the treatment of certain endocrine conditions. Rayos is also used in the treatment of acute leukemia and aggressive lymphomas. Rayos is used by children and adults, although doses can vary based on age and the condition you are using this medication to treat.

Do not use Rayos if you are allergic to prednisone. Avoid people who are sick or may have infections while you are taking Rayos.

Before using Rayos tell your doctor about other medical conditions you may have, especially if you have an infection. Rayos can weaken your immune system which could cause your infection to worsen. If you have a history of heart problems, high blood pressure, glaucoma or cataracts, diabetes, an underactive thyroid, liver disease, herpes infection of the eye, stomach ulcers, or mental illness or psychosis, you should inform your doctor prior to taking Rayos. Allergic reactions to Rayos are rare. If you have hives, difficulty breathing, or swelling around the face, lips, tongue, or throat, get emergency medical help right away.
