If your insurance plan doesn't cover the cost of Lotemax or if you don't have health insurance, you can always save money with SingleCare. Sign up for a free savings card and use our website or app to find pharmacies near you that accept our coupons.

How much does Lotemax cost with insurance?

As with all prescription drugs, your Lotemax copay will be based on your deductible, insurance plan, its drug formulary, and the drugstore where you shop. Search for Lotemax on our website or app to find your local pharmacy with the lowest Lotemax eye drops price. Then, bring your discount card, coupon, or app with you when you go to pick up your prescription. Ask the pharmacist to compare prices between your health plan coverage and your SingleCare discount. That way, you're always able to choose the best price for your prescription medications. The lowest price of Lotemax with SingleCare is currently $54.56 per 1, 5ml of 0.5% Bottle.

Does Medicare cover Lotemax and how much does it cost?

Medicare usually covers Lotemax. Eligible patients of Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plans should also receive at least partial coverage. You still might owe a copay depending on your coverage stage. Note: The cash price with a Lotemax coupon from SingleCare could be less than your out-of-pocket cost with Medicare. Always compare discounts before you buy.

How to save on Lotemax

Fortunately, SingleCare coupons are reusable and available to all patients. These free coupons are accepted at many popular drugstores. Use a Lotemax coupon and pay as low as $54.56 for 1, 5ml of 0.5% Bottle.

Is there a generic of Lotemax?

Loteprednol is the generic of Lotemax. Both are FDA-approved prescription medications that alleviate eye inflammation. SingleCare has coupons for both brand-name and generic drugs, so you can save up to 80% off your family's medications.

What is Lotemax?

Lotemax is an ophthalmic solution, meaning it's a medication for use in the eyes. Your doctor may prescribe a Lotemax product to you if you have had an eye injury, surgery (such as cataract surgery), or if you have symptoms of inflammation in one or both eyes. As a corticosteroid, Lotemax reduces swelling, redness, and itching.

What doses of Lotemax are available?

Lotemax is available for sale in the United States as an ophthalmic suspension, ophthalmic gel, and ophthalmic ointment in various strengths. Your healthcare provider will determine which type of medication is right for your medical condition.

In any case, you'll use the dropper, bottle, or tube to insert the medication between your lower eyelid and your eyeball. Insert one drop at a time and keep your eyes closed with your head tilted backward for one to two minutes before opening your eye. Do not touch the dropper or tube to the eye. If this occurs, wash the container before using it again.

Ask your doctor for medical advice if you wear contact lenses. He or she will need to approve the use of contact lenses depending on your injury or surgery. If you're permitted to wear lenses, you should wait at least 15 minutes after using Lotemax to put contacts back in. If using other ophthalmic products, wait at least 5 minutes between applications of Lotemax and other products.

What are the side effects of Lotemax?

Your eyes might burn or sting and your vision may be blurry for a few minutes after using Lotemax. If these side effects continue or worsen, you should notify a healthcare professional.

Prolonged use of Lotemax could result in serious side effects, like the development of cataracts. Call your doctor right away if you experience severe eye pain after using Lotemax.

Since Lotemax alleviates eye inflammation, it may mask the symptoms of an eye infection. If your eye condition does not improve after using Lotemax, let a doctor know.

Note: Other Lotemax side effects include adverse events, and drug interactions exist. Ask your pharmacist for additional information.

How long can you use Lotemax eye drops?

Lotemax may be prescribed for two weeks to three months. It may be prescribed to use as often as four times a day depending on your condition and response to the steroid. Ask your doctor or refer to your medication guide for full prescribing information.
