What is Chlo Tuss?
Chlo Tuss is a non-prescription flavored combination drug that treats the symptoms of colds and allergies, including coughing, sneezing, runny nose, stuffy nose, itching of the nose and throat, and other allergy and cold symptoms.
The active ingredients in Chlo Tuss are chlophedianol, dexbrompheniramine, and pseudoephedrine. Chlophedianol is a local anesthetic for suppressing cough. Dexbrompheniramine blocks the actions of histamines that cause cold and allergy symptoms such as a runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, and itchiness. Pseudoephedrine tightens blood vessels and so reduces the swelling that causes nasal congestion.
