Bumetanide belongs to a class of medications called loop diuretics. Bumetanide is a generic medication also sold under the brand name Bumex. Bumetanide has been available for years. In the treatment of body fluid accumulation, bumetanide use is common.

How to take Bumetanide

  • Dry mouth, increased thirst, muscle cramps, problems urinating, nausea or vomiting

  • Blistering, peeling, red skin rash

  • Lightheadedness or fainting
