Accolate is a prescribed medication used to treat asthma. It works to block the chemical that causes swelling in the lungs and tightness of the muscles around your airways. This reduces shortness of breath, wheezing, and other asthma symptoms.

Missed dose: Take a dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and take a regular dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

Mood or behavior changes, depression, trouble sleeping
Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Dark urine or pale stools, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain, yellow skin or eyes
Worse asthma or allergy symptoms (such as increased wheezing, trouble breathing, or tightness in the chest)
Numbness in your arms or legs, unexplained fever and chills, rash
