Pepsin is available under the brand name Dr. Clark Pepsin Supplement which is manufactured by Dr. Clark Store, Inc.
Pepsin is a powerful digestive enzyme in stomach acid that breaks down dietary proteins and frees amino acids such as those in eggs, seeds, meat, and dairy products. This medication may also be paired with Betaine HCL and hydrochloric acid to help improve protein digestion. The body usually produces pepsin in response to eating protein, however, patients who have insufficient amounts of Pepsin may not be able to properly digest protein. This dietary supplement helps by increasing the supply of Pepsin in the body which leads to better digestion of proteins.
