Acetaminophen may cause severe allergic reactions on the skin that may require hospitalization. Look for signs of a skin reaction such as rash, reddening, blisters, peeling, or sore throat. Follow the dosing or your doctor's instructions carefully and do not exceed the recommended dose. Acetaminophen is toxic to the liver. Acetaminophen overdose is the most common form of poisoning in the United States and could be fatal.
