Invokamet Xr (canagliflozin-metformin) is a branded prescription drug that is approved by the FDA for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes. This extended-release tablet is a combination of canagliflozin and metformin that is meant to be used along with diet and exercise to control blood sugar levels. Invokamet Xr regularizes the body's response to naturally produced insulin, increases kidney removal of sugar, decreases sugar production in the liver and decreases sugar absorption in the stomach and intestines.
