How to take Edex

  • Injection routeThrow away used needles in a hard, closed container that the needles cannot poke through. Keep this container away from children and pets.

  • Injection routeAsk your pharmacist, doctor, or health caregiver about the best way to dispose of any leftover medicine, containers, and other supplies. Throw away old medicine after the expiration date has passed.

  • Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Do not refrigerate or freeze.

  • Injection routeUse a new needle and syringe each time you inject your medicine. Do not share needles. Never use a bent needle.

  • Each vial or container of medicine should be used only 1 time. Do not keep medicine that is left over in the syringe after you give yourself an injection.

Edex contraindications

  • This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to alprostadil, or if you have sickle cell anemia, leukemia, multiple myeloma, or an implant in your penis.

  • Redness, lumps, or swelling in your penis, or curving of your erect penis

  • Lightheadedness or fainting
