Uribel is an FDA-approved prescription medication used to treat the frequent need to urinate, discomfort, pain, and cramps that come with a urinary tract infection. It is also used to prevent bladder discomfort during medical procedures.
Uribel works by acting as an antiseptic, helping to prevent the growth of bacteria in urine. It also functions as a pain reliever and muscle relaxant. Uribel is not an antibiotic and should not be used as such.
Tell your doctor if you're currently taking any other types of medications. Antacids, for example, may decrease the effectiveness of Uribel in your body. Other Uribel drug interactions include diuretics, antimuscarinic agents, antidiarrheals, sulfonamide drugs, opioid narcotics, and antifungal medications.
