What is Lubriderm Daily Moisture?
Lubriderm Daily Moisture is a brand-name over-the-counter moisturizing lotion that helps relieve dry skin. It is formulated as five distinct products: Lubriderm Daily Moisture for normal and dry skin, Lubriderm Daily Moisture fragrance-free for normal and dry skin, Lubriderm Daily Moisture with cocoa butter, Lubriderm Daily Moisture with lavender and jasmine, and Lubriderm Daily Moisture with SPF 15 sunscreen.
Lubriderm Daily Moisture primarily consists of emollients (mineral oil, cetyl alcohol, Cetearyl alcohol), or substances that cover the skin and make it feel smoother. Lubriderm Daily Moisture also includes a humectant (glycerin) that draws water from inner skin tissues to the outer skin tissues, and protectants (caprylic triglyceride and dimethicone) that form a barrier over the skin to prevent moisture from evaporating off the top layers. As its primary restorative ingredient, Lubriderm Daily Moisture includes panthenol, a substance that is converted into vitamin B5 in the body. Vitamin B5 has both anti-inflammatory and healing properties for skin tissues.
Lubriderm Daily Moisture is applied as a thin layer over the affected skin when needed.
What are the side effects of Lubriderm Daily Moisture?
Some but not all common side effects of Lubriderm Daily Moisture are primarily allergic reactions to the active or inactive ingredients and include skin redness, itching, burning, or irritation.
