Daliresp is used to reduce inflammation in the lungs. This condition often leads to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The active ingredient found in Daliresp is roflumilast and it works by reducing the swelling and irritation of your airways. Daliresp also prevents the worsening of your symptoms once you have severe COPD. This prescription drug does not work right away and will not treat a bronchospasm attack that has already begun.
Important: Before you take Daliresp to treat your COPD, you should tell your healthcare provider if you have or had a history of mental health problems, liver problems, any other medical conditions, if you are breastfeeding, if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, as it is not known if Daliresp will harm your unborn baby.
Although this is not the full list of side effects for Daliresp, the most common side effects of this prescription drug include weight loss, insomnia, nausea, diarrhea, headache, back pain, flu-like symptoms, dizziness, and decreased appetite.
