What is Contour Next One?
Contour Next One is an over-the-counter wireless blood glucose monitoring system used by diabetic patients to monitor their blood glucose levels. Patients can use a microlet lancing device to apply drops of blood to contour the next test strips and insert them into the system. The blood glucose meter will then analyze the blood glucose levels and produce a reading to you. Monitoring and managing blood glucose levels is important for diabetic patients to prevent diabetes-related complications such as heart attacks, strokes, nerve damage, and blindness.
The Contour Next One system offers a smart light indicator that identifies if your blood glucose readings are below, above, or within the target range. Contour next test strips that come for this system have a "second-chance" feature that allows you up to 60 seconds to reapply an additional blood sample which helps to prevent wastage.
You can also connect this system to a diabetes app system on your smart mobile device or smartphone through Bluetooth technology. Fast, no coding readings can then be viewed and recorded through your smart mobile device which allows you to track and monitor your results over extended periods and provide user performance evaluations.
